### KDM DCBG Plug Reliability Issues – Field Experience & Feedback DCBG Plug reliability issues seem to be on the rise again, below I will share faults observed as well as examples of what to look for. These plugs are very small, take a picture with your phone and zoom in to see crimps.

XB1 Poor connection On XB1 has caused main brake voltage to reduce well below hold voltage which can lead to 108 faults.

XMS1 - 201 Contactor Feedback Not making up will cause a 268 after 3 consecutive attempts to pick main contactor \*\*\*\*Opening in flight will cause a panic stop but will only cause 187 or 188 and 191 or 192.\*\*\*\*

Plug Repair - Be cautious not to deform the plastic guides - this will happen if you try to lever your jumper while repairing crimp. Gently inserting Kone supplied jumper tip between one side of the crimp and the plug should sufficiently squeeze the crimp back together.
